I had a good portrait session last week with Sam
Sullivan. We exchange our stories on West Coast life. From skiing to
D/T Eastside to visions of recent Vancouver!
I'm an Architectural / Commercial Photographer and I love the subject.
Main interests are family, friends, motorcycles, esp. HD, traveling on bikes, skiing and PHOTOGRAPHY!
Skied in BC and on Whistler Mountain off and mostly on since the beginning in 1965. I have observed quite a few changes, met a few folks and had a lot of good times (and sad times) since then. Anyone who would like my take on the area is welcome to contact me at rkcg@uniserve.com
As I sat in traffic yesterday, going nowhere I thought of the tons of pollutants spewing from the exhausts of other cars in our own fair city of Vancouver. The city has already declared no idle zones around the area and that's a good thing. But the gridlock gives a much bigger additive to the pollution than the curb stops I would think. So why don't we extend Rush Hours from 9 am to 11 am or more. This may apply to main arterials and collectors and maybe even local routes depending on business input.
Also traffic light loop detectors and synchronicity in this day and age of technology must surely be reasonable to install and maintain efficiently. Any other cities out there that have addressed this simple issue?
